Anne Powell

Anne McKenzie Powell, 87, of Fair Bluff died Monday, February 15, 2016, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N. C. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Milton McKenzie and Annie Maie White McKenzie and was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Alexander Powell. She was a member of Fair Bluff Baptist Church where she had been the organist for many years. She was a co-owner of McKenzie Mortuary. Survivors include her daughter: Sarah Anne Powell Jackson (Edward) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sons: William (Bill) A. Powell, II (Rita) of Whiteville, N.C. and Alexander McKenzie Powell of Fair Bluff, N.C.; sister: Sally McKenzie High (Jim) of Lake Waccamaw, N.C.; Grandchildren: Ashley McKenzie Malkemes (Mike), Amanda Anne Powell, William Anderson Powell, III (Courtney), Garrett Powell Jackson (Portia) and Jordan Alexander Powell. Great-Grandchildren: Piper Addyson Powell, London McKenzie Powell, Jonathan Luther Malkemes, Kaylee Anne Malkemes, Logan Garrett Jackson.
