Geneva "Teny" Webb Raby

Wife of Dewey Raby, Funeral Assistant at Evans Funeral Service, Lenoir.

Geneva “Teny” Webb Raby went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2025 at her residence, with her husband, Dewey, by her side. She was born in Sevier County, TN on September 12, 1936, to the late Ragen and Iva Sutton Webb.

Teny loved the Lord and was an active member of Calvary Advent Christian Church for more than 64 years. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a Youth Director and a member of the Women’s Group. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Memaw and great-grandmother. She was a great source of encouragement for everyone that knew her, and she loved to laugh.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Raby Harmon.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Belita Miller and husband, Mark; Terrie Shoemaker and husband, Gary; son, Todd Raby; grandchildren, Amber Duggins and husband, Luke; Matthew Miller and wife, Grawyn; Nathan Miller and wife, Kim; Madsion Buckner and husband, Will; Meredith Raby; Ella Harmon; Olivia Harmon; great-grandchildren, Brayden Miller; Zia Miller; Nolan Duggins; McKenzie Miller; Camden Miller; Laken Miller; and son-in-law, Kent Harmon.

A celebration of Teny’s life will be held at Calvary Advent Christian Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Lee and Pastor Brandon Thomas officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service at the church.
